Subjective Impression of an Office with Biophilic Design and Blue Lighting: A Pilot Study

This paper investigates and compares people’s subjective impression of an office with a biophilic design blue lighting. Existing studies have examined their influence on perception separately, but how they compare is unclear. Additionally, only few used setting as case study. To address this research gap, study collected ratings rankings four simulated interior scenes private using online survey. The include lighting, daylight view, indoor plants, non-biophilic baseline conventional white A total 284 complete responses were analyzed mixed-effect model. It was found that the two designs improved compared to base case. access view outperformed space plants in all perceptual categories, specifically perceived by participants brighter, more comfortable, spacious. On contrary, lighting decreased most attributes comparison baseline. negative notably significant lively, bright, appealing being participants. Subjects’ preference spaces showed similar pattern.
